Loving Kindness (meditation)

Loving Kindness (meditation)

Loving Kindness (Dacher2006) is an embrace of life that softens the mind and opens the heart. This exercise has helped me tremendous; recently I have gone through a lot of issues in my life. I realize stress is necessary for life however stress is only harmful when it becomes overwhelming and interrupts the healthy state of equilibrium that your nervous system needs to remain in balance. Through this exercise I was able to close my eyes and imagine a restful place where all my worries drift away.
The Integral Assessment brings my attention to what is going on at the present in my life, with my inner feelings, thoughts, and reactions. I’m trying very hard to accept the current reality and to stop resisting the good feeling as well as bad feeling experiences. I am constantly learning from my interactions with my outer experiences to look at my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

Having inner wisdom helps me to concentrate on this exercise, through spirituality and meditation. It helps me to navigate through my difficulties, through my values, beliefs, gratitude, peace and love.

Loving kindness (Mental Workouts)

1. On a daily basis I try to listen to soothing music before I start work, it makes me more poised and mentally organized to start the day's work. Loving kindness attracts loving kindness, Relaxation music helps you connect to your inner peace, listening to this exercise of the water flowing opened my mind and heart to a fountain of waters flowing through a stream of loving and kindness. While I’m listening to the waters flowing I’m shifting myself through the awareness of feelings from good to bad I feel energy flowing out of my body, as this practice continues while taking nice, relaxed deep breaths, I began to imagine the energy that was flowing out of my body was stress I can say good bye to stress. I would recommend this exercise to others because has an amazing effect on the body

2. Mental workouts can be implemented to foster your psychological health on a daily basis, it helps us think faster, give quicker reaction times, accelerate our cognitive processes and reach beyond our known mental boundaries increasing our capacity to learn

1. A. Physical wellbeing
Prof and classmates based on a scale 1 to 10. I would rate my physical wellbeing a 4 physical, every morning I stretch before and after I perform my exercise which is very light, my goal is to enter into a water aerobics class. I have been on numerous diets; my weight fluctuates up and down however I continue to watch my food intake on a daily basis.
B. Spiritual well-being
Being a child of God is awesome; nobody is greater than him
Spirituality was instilled in me from a small child; I love to go to church, even if my parents would not go, I would go with my grandmothers. God communicates to us, through his written “word,” the Bible. The word is so powerful, it gives you strength, provides faith, love and healing.
Today based on a scale 1 to 10 my spiritual well-being would be an 8, why 8? Well I pray and meditate, I attend Sunday school and church just about every Sunday to obtain the word, listens to Christian music “all the time.” I need to read the word more.
C. Psychological well-being
Based on a scale 1 to 10 my psychological well-being would be a 5, this all comes from being stressed out through family and organizations projects.
2. Develop a goal for yourself in each area (physical, spiritual, psychological). My physical goal would be to exercise more, spiritual goal spend more time with God through his read words and psychological get a handle on my stress levels.
3. What activities or exercise can you implement in your life to assist in moving toward each goal? Join a water aerobics class
4. Complete the relaxation exercise The Crime of the Century. The exercise was relaxing, it was beneficial to me.
